Courses The courses conducted at Mymensingh Medical College are of Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. Undergraduate Course:
MBBS This curriculum has been effective from the 40th batch of MBBS students (year of admission :2003) and will be continued from subsequent batches. Duration of the course is 5 (five) years. According to the new curriculum the summary of the course is as follows: Phase-I Duration: One and a half year Examining Subject:
University Examination: First Professional Examination at the end of the period. Phase-II Duration: Two years Examining Subject:
University Examination : Second Professional Examination at the end of the period. Phase-III Duration: One and a half year Examining Subject:
University Examination: Final Professional Examination at the end of the period. Internship Internship is an integral part of medical teaching as recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council. After being qualified through the final MBBS Examination, doctors are provided with a provisional registration of BMDC. After satisfactory compilation of one-year internship program and logbook scheme have been started; interns will be placed in Medicine and Allied branches for 19 weeks, Surgery and allied branches for 19 weeks and Obs & Gynae for 14 weeks.
